Each quarter this year, we will explore a different global trend informed by the Global Trends 2040 Report. Within each quarter, we will host several “Trend Nights,” bringing in industry experts and thought leaders to discuss the latest innovations and gains being made.
Here’s what to expect:
January - March
With a broad focus on Health, we’ll be zeroing in on wellness and maternal health. Additionally, we will also curate and host a Black Innovation Showcase on February 3rd, for Black History Month.
April - June
In time for Earth Day, we’ll explore the environment by discussing climate tech, climate change, innovation in urban systems and ecosystems, and sustainability.
July - September
Q3 will center around “Global Forces” where we’ll leverage our own Global Venture Café session called Innovation Bridge, which brings together two or more cities from the Venture Cafe Global family. The rest of the quarter will highlight innovations in life sciences including cell and gene therapy, epigenetics and biodesign, and lastly, global markets.
October- December
We’ll close out the year focused on trends in Tech Disruption featuring Trend Nights dedicated to innovation in AI and Big Data, innovation in Medtech, and innovation in Digital Health coupled with a showcase highlighting the tech-enabled startups in our Launch Lane Accelerator.
In addition to these Trend Nights, we will continue to use Venture Café as a platform to partner, highlight, and co-curate programming with members of the community and other organizations.
