Selena Lopez-McKenzie

Selena joined the Science Center in 2022 as Program Manager & Experience Designer, Venture Cafè. She is part of the Science Center’s Experience team, responsible for curating inspiring experiences every Thursday to enhance and grow Philadelphia’s innovation community by working to make it more diverse, inclusive, accessible, and better connected.

Prior to joining the Science Center, Selena was an Academic Advisor at Drexel University. Her work centered around building community and supporting students through experiential learning experiences. She has a demonstrated passion for empowering others to become the next generation of social innovators and leaders to shape a better future for our communities.

Selena graduated from Drexel University with a MS degree in Nonprofit Management: Public, Professional, and Social Sectors and a BS degree in Psychology.

When Selena isn’t at the Science Center, you can find her outside in her garden, crafting, or listening to a chilling podcast.
