Maya Heiland
Director of STEM Education InitiativesMaya joined the Science Center in 2014. As Director of STEM Education Initiatives, she oversees the Science Center's FirstHand operations.
She has been teaching in non-traditional spaces for over ten years and loves the creativity and freedom it affords. When Maya isn't at the Science Center, you can find her tending her honeybees, fixing up her century old home or bicycling around the city.
