Adam Glasofer, MD, MSHI
Dr. Adam Glasofer is a physician, healthcare innovation leader, and former health system executive with a track record of leading large-scale change within and across organizations, from early-stage startups to big tech enterprises. He is the Founding Partner of Vertex Health Partners, an advisory firm operating at the convergence of healthcare, technology, and capital, providing clinical, technical, and commercial judgment to the companies, investors, and health systems shaping the sector.
At Vertex Health Partners, Adam leverages his clinical, operational, strategic, and technology background to advise a wide-ranging portfolio of clients spanning health systems, enterprises, investors, startups, nonprofits, accelerators/incubators, and government agencies – including ARPA-H, American Cancer Society BrightEdge, CGI Federal, Deerfield Management, Oura, Penn Center for Innovation, and WellLink.
Before founding Vertex Health Partners, Adam was the Global Head of Healthcare for Venture Capital and Startups at Amazon Web Services. In this role, he created the AWS Healthcare Accelerator program and led a team of healthtech experts focused on driving the adoption of startups with healthcare customers around the world. These efforts influenced more than $500M in funding and seven acquisitions across accelerator cohorts, and were featured by Forbes, Bloomberg News, and the Financial Times. Prior to Amazon, Adam was Chief Innovation Officer and Associate Chief Medical Information Officer at Virtua Health, where he founded both Virtua’s telehealth program and Center for Innovation from inception, working closely with operational leadership to transform care delivery through the seamless integration of technology.
A pediatric hospitalist by training, Adam practiced clinical medicine for 15 years working as part of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia at Virtua group in a pediatric emergency department. He is board certified in both Pediatrics and Clinical Informatics and holds a Master of Science in Health Informatics. Adam serves on the Board of Directors of the Science Center, International Investment Board of ANDHealth Australia, and as the Advisory Board Chairman for WellLink. He has presented globally on topics such as telemedicine and innovation in healthcare and continues to advise numerous healthcare startups. This cumulative experience across the clinical, technical, and business worlds continues to drive Adam’s mission to effect the largest possible change in improving healthcare for all those along the care delivery spectrum.
