Bon Ku, MD, MPP
Program Manager, Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H)
Dr. Bon Ku joined ARPA-H in August 2023 from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, where he served as an associate dean and the Marta and Robert Adelson Professor of Medicine and Design. Ku also worked as the director of the Health Design Lab, where his research focused on the medical applications of 3D printing and different ways in which to help design healthier communities. He also currently serves as a practicing emergency physician.
Ku holds a doctorate in medicine from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s in public policy from Princeton University. He is an internationally renowned speaker and has been featured at high-profile events such as SXSW and TEDx. Ku's work toward redesigning health care has been featured in popular venues including CNBC and The New York Times. Ku is also the co-author of Health Design Thinking and the host of Design Lab Podcast.
