In the next few weeks, Philadelphia will feel like the college town it is, as academic cap-and-gown-clad graduates stream down North Broad Street, South Broad Street and throughout West Philadelphia to attend graduation.
When approached thoughtfully, being a college town means two things for Philadelphia: 1) the opportunity to gain new, college-educated residents when our graduates stay in Philadelphia, and 2) the opportunity to build Philadelphia’s network and reputation nationally and globally when students who have spent four or more years in the region venture forth to other destinations and spread the word about the experiences they had in Philadelphia.
