Spark goes public with $161M IPO

Spark Therapeutics went public Friday in a $161 million initial public offering, the largest IPO by an area biopharmaceutical company in years. The 2-year-old Philadelphia gene therapy company was spun out of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. It's selling 7 million shares of common stock at $23 per share. The stock soared more than 100 percent in mid-afternoon trading. Click here to read more.
