University City’s own Corner Bakery opened last week on the 3700 block of Market Street.
It’s one block that’s undergone a transformation in the last three years, going from a quiet block that was home to a University City Science Center building (and makerspace NextFab) to a bustling corridor with a restaurant, two cafes, another new, 13-floor Science Center building and the Department of Making + Doing, the makerspace tbat replaced NextFab.
