Amidst Futures Without Guns, a speculative art exhibition investigating gun violence as a health equity issue, the Science Center, in collaboration with Philadelphia ReCAST, invites neighbors, community changemakers and grassroots organizations to get exposure to and connect with funding institutions and learn about what they look for and need from prospective grantees/funding recipients.

Now, Granted Panel Discussion
This discussion will spotlight funders/funding institutions currently working to improve the communities they serve, driving us into brighter futures. Each funder will be accompanied by one of their grant recipients. The panel will give insight into what individuals and organizations can do to have a greater chance at success in receiving the funding necessary to fuel action and further impact.

Connecting Dots For Impact
Whether you are looking to get funding for your community organization or are a neighbor seeking to get involved in community improvement efforts, this guided mixer provides time and space to make meaningful connections with members of your intended audiences. Upon registration or check-in, attendees identify as either of the following four categories: Funder, Community Changemaker, Community Org Leader or Involved Neighbor. Each category has a different color sticker dot, which will be worn on each person’s name tag to help guide connections.
