Cell Cytoskeleton Workshop

A mini tour and lecture that will be led by Artist Dolores Bartholomew on plant communication and the important role the cell cytoskeleton plays along with other cell proteins to coordinate growth and development in plants. Following the tour and lecture Dolores and former member of the Gallagher lab, undergraduate Amy Goldfischer will show participants how to create “Cytoskeleton Cells” using the Create 3Doodler tool. Upon creating the cells, participants will help a “larger than life” root sculpture “grow” lateral roots in different directions exploring its environment.
