Fruits of Matadero

Fruits of Matadero is a public commission by Matadero Madrid and the Mutant Institute of Environmental Narratives, Spain and featured at EKG. The concept explores the potential of growing microbially-augmented popsicles to develop new forms of cooling rituals in public space. The project responds to necessity of acclimating the intense heat waves experienced in Madrid due to extreme urbanization and the climate crisis.
