Choose Your Own Adventure at the 3675 Market Street Grand Opening Party

Next Friday night we’re celebrating the official opening of 3675 Market Street with a huge party. Together with our partners CIC Philadelphia, BioLabs and Wexford Science + Technology, floors one through six in the building will be activated with live music, special performances, community partner activations, food, drink and more. We’re excited to have so many of Philadelphia’s most innovative organizations all under one roof for the night, and we believe this is a great opportunity for everyone in our community to connect at uCity Square.

Some of the local food and beverage vendors you can expect to see throughout the building include Federal Donuts, Dizengoff, Goldie, Heritage Wines, The Kimpton Palomar, Dock Street Brewery, Philadelphia Distilling, Red Brick Distilling, Chaddsford Winery, Really Real Ginger, Birdie's Biscuits, Simply Good Jars, Jillian Bakes, Elixr, Affinity Confections, Catering by Design, Home Appetite, and more!

If that’s not enough to entice you to come – we’ll be joined by more than 2,000 of our closest friends. Here’s some more information about what kind of activations you can expect to see throughout the building. We hope to see you there!

Floor 1:

Come see the Quorum Lounge in all its new and shiny glory. With 5,000 square feet of drop-in lounge space (and another 10,000 square feet upstairs!), we’ll have performances by West Philadelphia Orchestra, DJ O$AGIE, and aerialist/circus artist Kaitlin Chin.

Floor 2:

The second floor is split between Quorum and CIC Philadelphia space. At Quorum, we’ll have activations by Fresh Artists Gallery, Lee Mo trio, Temple University’s Broad Street Line A Capella, AR/VR by Yetzer Studios, Cohere, Robin Hood Ventures, and Ben Franklin Technology Partners.

Take a tour of CIC’s office and coworking space, or stop by their community partner activations, including Philly Startup Leaders, Open Access Philly/Stimulus, The Study, Pressbox, ExCITe Center and Thomas Jefferson University Innovation Pillar (3D Printer).

Floor 3:

Rock out to local artist, DJ Adam Durant, with a Pixilated Photobooth while connecting with some of the city's most collaboratively-minded innovators including Philly VR, Coded by Kids, The Collective Success Network, Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, Black and Brown Founders, Pennsylvania Horticulture Society and REC Philly.

Floor 4:

The fourth floor is home to the Science Center’s new offices, where we’re showcasing some of our nationally recognized programs. Former BioArtists-in-Residence Laura Splan and Deirdre Murphy will display artwork and offer up interactive experiences, while Orkhan Telhan provides genetically modified drinks via Microbial Design Studio. You can learn more about our Science and Technology programs through a unique data visualization display, designed by Data Imprint, and take a look at our new space that is adorned with art from past Esther Klein Gallery exhibits.

Floor 5:

The Science Center’s STEM-based education initiative, FirstHand, has moved into a beautiful new lab at 3675, equipped with a digital studio, makers space, multipurpose room and two teaching labs. Check out the new space to engage in family-friendly experiments and hear from the FirstHand team about their upcoming programs.

Floor 6:

On the sixth floor, BioLabs will host tours of their new space, with special concoctions from Silver Bar Staffing, tunes by Arcangel Music, and of course more food and drinks for all.
