Timothy Rissel

Timothy joined the Science Center in 2022 . As Customer Experience Manager, Timothy is responsible for overseeing the Quorum events space, building and maintaining customer relationships, and sets a standard of Quorum operational and experience excellence.

A graduate of Temple University, Timothy spent over 20 years in the restaurant and hospitality industry, with over 15 years in management and directorial roles. His background includes restaurant operations, event sales and execution, marketing, and content creation. He has worked for restaurant concepts in Philadelphia and Washington, DC with the Starr Restaurant Organization (Jones, Le Diplomate) and GuestCounts Hospitality (Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, Empanada Alley).

Since 2019, Timothy has served on the board of directors for the Independence Business Alliance, Philadelphia’s LGBTQ+ business chamber which provides opportunities, access, and resources to LGBTQ+ professionals and allies in the Greater Philadelphia area. Currently he serves as the IBA’s Events Chair.
