Without Walls explores new modes of public art and muralism through a unique collaborative residency program between Breadboard and muraLAB, an experimental hub at The City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program. Six Philadelphia artists were selected to develop new concepts and models for proposed public art projects during a six-month residency at NextFab Studio, a high-tech workshop and prototyping center located at the University City Science Center. Breadboard is a hybrid program of the University City Science Center that explores intersections between contemporary art, design, science and technology. Expanding on 30+ years of Esther Klein Gallery programming, Breadboard's mission is to convene communities around creative applications of technology. Breadboard is the nonprofit partner of NextFab Studio, a membership based prototyping center located at 3711 Market St. Breadboard manages the EKG Exhibition Space. The EKG Exhibition Space is located at 3600 Market St. in Philadelphia, PA. The gallery is open Monday through Saturday from 9am to 5pm.
