PHILADELPHIA--(December 10, 2013) – They say you have to dig deep to rise up – and at 18 years of age, Paul Touhey did just that. Through hard work and dedication, he was able to climb his way up the corporate ladder to get where he is today. Touhey, currently the Executive Chairman of Invisible Sentinel Inc., a food pathogen diagnostics company located in Philadelphia, PA, will share his inspirational story during a Smart Talk presentation at the University City Science Center. The program will take place Thursday, December 12, from 8:30 – 10 a.m. at Quorum at the Science Center, 3711 Market Street, Suite 800, Philadelphia. Touhey is the former President & CEO and member of the Board of Directors of Fujirebio Diagnostics, Inc. (FDI), the world’s premier cancer diagnostics company. He joined FDI, formerly Centocor Diagnostics, in 1985, where he held a variety of positions including Senior Vice President of Operations. Prior to FDI and Centocor, Touhey worked for Johnson & Johnson in a variety of positions with increasing levels of responsibility and management. Touhey is a current member of a number of boards of directors including the University City Science Center, Medical Device Manufacturers Association and TelaBio. Touhey also established the Companies of Caring Campaign with the Community Volunteers in Medicine, a Chester County charity focusing on providing medical care to the uninsured, and is a past member of the Philadelphia Freedom Valley YMCA Board of Directors.
