At 15,000 square feet, Quorum at 3675 Market Street is triple in size as it spreads over two floors. The new Quorum space features expanded drop-in space, breakout rooms, soft seating pods, and meeting facilities with capacity to host conferences and events for up to 300 people.


Street-level access and a lobby café make Quorum more accessible and welcoming to the innovation community.


The new expanded space enables the Science Center to expand its programmatic offerings to the entrepreneurial community, attract more national conferences and companies to Philadelphia, and foster new connections for innovation.

Edith Neff Mural

This mural by Edith Neff was commissioned by the University City Science Center in 1973 through the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority's (PRA) Percent for Art program.


The staff of the UCSC and the PRA specifically wanted a mural that would represent the people and places of Philadelphia. Edith Neff was chosen because she was known for depicting scenes of Philadelphia that represented diversity and inclusion.


The scene is loosely based on photographs that the artist took from the Poweltown Village neighborhood.


The mural was on display in the front of the 3624 lobby from 1974 until 1988, when it was removed from public view.


In 2018, the mural underwent a conservation treatment and was subsequently intalled on the second floor of 3675 Market Street in Quorum.
