Tara Weiner

Ms. Weiner has been a director of the Science Center since 2009. In 2014, she retired from Deloitte LLP as a Senior Partner. She has a distinguished track record of success as a firm leader and strategic advisor to the senior management of its leading clients, helping companies create measurable value and dealing with issues of importance to their business.

From 2005 to 2013, Ms. Weiner served as Managing Partner of the Greater Philadelphia Region at Deloitte LLP. Prior to that, she led Deloitte’s National Consumer Business Practice from 2001 to 2005. She has been actively engaged and involved in a leadership capacity with organizations in Greater Philadelphia whose mission is to catalyze Greater Philadelphia’s regional economic growth, including the Fund for the School District of Philadelphia and Campus Philly.

Ms. Weiner frequently speaks on consumer trends; effective workplace talent strategies; the retention, advancement and development of women in the workplace; and diversity and corporate governance. She earned her Certified Public Accountant designation and is a Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She received her B.S. in business administration from The Pennsylvania State University, summa cum laude.
