by car
From the south: Take I-95 North to the I-76 West exit. Follow "From
the Schuylkill Expressway" directions below.
From the north: Take I-95 South to the Center City/I-676
West exit. Follow "From the Vine Street Expressway" directions below.
From Camden, NJ: Take the Ben Franklin Bridge and follow
signs for I-676 West. Follow "From the Vine Street Expressway" directions below.
From the Vine Street Expressway: Follow the Vine Street
Expressway west to the Airport exit (right hand lane). At the end of the exit
ramp, move to the right lane for immediate exit at 30th Street. Turn right
at top of exit ramp. Follow road around 30th Street Station. Turn right on
Market Street and go to 3701.
From the Schuylkill Expressway: Follow the Schuylkill Expressway
to the 30th Street Station exit. Turn right at top of exit ramp. Follow road
around 30th Street Station. Turn right on Market Street and go to 3701.
Daily parking is available in the Parkway Corporation parking
garage directly next to 3701 Market. All-day charge is $11. If the garage is
full, parking is available in the surface lot at 38th and Market Street (entrance
on Market Street).
by public transit
Regional Rail: All Regional Rail lines stop at 30th Street
Station. From 30th Street Station, you have two options to get to the Science
Center:
- Option 1: Take a taxi. Approximately a three minute ride. Fare is $4-5
one way.
- Option 2: Walk west away from downtown skyline to 3701. Allow 15 minutes.
Subway: Market-Frankford El ("Blue Line"): The stop closest
to the Science Center 34th Street. During rush hour, take only trains marked "A." Exit
to street and walk west three blocks along Market Street away from downtown
skyline to 3701.
Trolley: Market Street ("Green Line"): The #10 trolley stops
at 36th and Market. The closest stop for all other trolleys is 36th and Sansom
Street, one and a half blocks south of Market Street. The fare is $2 one way.
