ABOUT US

The Science Center is home to more than 150 companies whose work spans the business cycle from applied research and development through commercialization and maturity.  Each of these companies chose to locate here to benefit from our services that include:

• Science Center Ventures - the strategic and technical assistance that new companies need but often cannot afford to staff.
• SC Capital Partners - our own investment fund plus the ability to identify and leverage other investment sources.
• SC Management Services, LLC - a cadre of experienced and talented business professionals who allow companies to benefit from their expertise.
• SC Knowledge and Information Exchange - a community that thrives on knowledge and information exchange and that shares information, collaborates, and increases knowledge. 
• SC Research Parks - our real estate ranges from single offices to fully-equipped laboratories to customized finished office space.
• SC Gallery – created in 1976 to promote Art, Science and Community within the SC campus and to act as a vehicle for community outreach initiatives extending throughout the Greater Philadelphia Area.

The Science Center counts 30 academic institutions as shareholders.  This unique support infrastructure includes for-profit and non-profit national and international organizations that are committed to the development of emerging technology and life sciences companies.

Centrally located one mile west from the heart of Center City Philadelphia on the Avenue of Technology, the Science Center is an easy walk to the University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, and the Wistar Institute.  The research resources available to the Science Center are second to none. In addition, the Science Center has been designated as a Keystone Innovation and Keystone Opportunity Zone, and as such, can offer significant tax advantages to our companies.
